A few weeks ago I was itching to try this
recipe for candied lemon peel that came highly recommended by Heidi of
My Paper Crane. We make quite a bit of lemonade at our house so it seemed practical to make use of all those lemon peels instead of wasting them. My littlest son was my sous chef. I expected a huge mess but he did it as if he'd been making candy his whole life. The result was delicious!! The only change I made to the recipe was that I sliced the peel off pell mell instead of making neat little pieces simply because it was quicker and easier. We can't wait to make it again.
