Since it is officially June now, I thought that this would make a very appropriate post. I love The Long Hot Summer. Although it is more than a bit hamy at times, Paul Newman and his real life wife Joanne Woodward are stupendous in it. Her character, Clara Varner, is so smart and sharp and well-dressed that I'd like to be her when I grow up.
If you still need convincing, there is a scene with Paul Newman on a balcony at night in his underwear.
