The Youngest

This is H.

H is my youngest son.

He is five and a half years old. Something that he tells every single person that he meets.

This picture was taken last Christmas. While we were trimming our tree it seemed like the perfect time for him to don his viking hat.

He is the very definition of adorable. His face is so expressive he looks like a little cartoon character.

He is a sweetheart. He loves to cuddle and hug but he is not at all fond of kisses.

He loves to read.

He loves to go places.

When we go out he takes great joy in pushing the handicap access button on each and every door he can find.

He loves music and has a wonderful little voice.

He has the best laugh that you have ever heard. I wish I could bottle it.

He loves to dance and will do so at any and every opportunity.

He is a perfect gentleman.

He is my sunshine.

The Eldest

Now it's time to introduce the two shining stars in my life.

My two boys.

I'm going to give them each their own post but I thought I should set it up beforehand.

I know that this is very old-fashioned of me, but I don't feel comfortable giving out too much information on them. It is partly out of protection and partly out of respect for their privacy. So, I'm taking a page out of Heidi's book and keeping their names and faces private.

Since I can't show you their faces I just have to explain that they are beautiful.

Allow me to introduce-

He is my oldest son.

He is eight years old.

To say that he is bright would be a great understatement.
He is a kick ass defensive soccer player.

He loves making up clever wordplay jokes.

He is a voracious reader.

He is unbelievably creative.

He is my pride and joy.

My Other Half

This is my husband.

This picture was taken several years ago at the beach when my oldest son was barely a year old.

It is so hard to sum up my husband in one little old post.

He is my best friend.

We grew up together and started off as friends before we fell in love.

He is smart.

He is talented.

He is a devoted husband and father.

He is, hands down, the funniest guy I know.

I could keep going but it would only cause him further embarrassment so I'll have to stop there.

Introductions

The other day it occurred to me that, although I have been writing this blog for over a year, I have never made proper introductions. I've decided to remedy this over the next week or so by making formal introductions of myself and the key players in my life.

So, without further ado-

this is me

in my favorite sweater.

If you have read this blog at all, you probably know that I am an artist (aka The Little Chickadee). You can find my shop on Etsy.

I am also a mother to two brilliant and beautiful boys (I'll introduce them later).

I am very happily married to my high school sweetheart (I'll introduce him later too). We grew up together. Isn't that romantic?

I am an avid reader and gardener. I love beautiful, unusual movies. I am very narrow in my music tastes and tend to stick to only a handful of things that I listen to.

I love being outdoors.
